Integrated Sleepers for Sterling Acterra and 9500

Bentz introduces new 96” and 90” integrated sleepers for the Sterling Acterra medium duty truck and 9500 heavy duty truck. Focused on the expediter market, this sleeper program offers many high-end features preferred by husband & wife expediting teams.

The key feature of this sleeper is the stand-up cab integration utilizing a one-piece fiberglass roof. Other key construction features:

  • New one-piece fiberglass roof and transition panels featuring 3/16” hand-layup construction with gel coat surface—the new roof and transition panels are styled to complement the styling of the Sterling cab and result in a seamless factory appearance
  • One-piece integrated roof allows for stand-up interior room in the forward cab area and provides additional overhead storage above the front seats
  • Sterling factory sunvisor assembly at the front of the roof
  • Lightweight aluminum cabinet substructure reduces sleeper weight approximately 20%--critical for big sleepers on long-wheelbase straight trucks—reduces loads on front axles and reduces overall truck weight
  • Aluminum sandwich floor assembly with 3” overall thickness combining .063” aluminum exterior floor panel, 2” exterior closed-cell foam core insulation, .080” aluminum interior floor panel, 3/4” wood interior subfloor and 1/2” interior insulation pad and carpet
  • Welded, extruded aluminum structural frame including heavy extruded aluminum floor structure, .125” floor substructure and wall structures and .063” body panels—cab structure that is strong enough to withstand the brutal vibration and pounding of heavy truck suspensions and rough roads
