In November, 2006, Freightliner of Knoxville introduced the latest version of the popular 960 Express Cruiser Expediting Truck. Key features of the new truck will be:
- All new aerodynamic roof cap. This cap will provide for more interior storage, with cabinets above the driver area, and larger cabinets above the bed. It will also provide a
better foundation for roof mounted features such as roof air units, satellite domes, fresh air vents, etc. The new cap is taller, providing more interior height, and allowing a
better double bunk configuration.
- Larger refrigerator options. The new larger fridge moves over to the left side of the truck, providing more storage under the sink area.
- Standard Porta Potty access door. The ladies convinced us to make a potty provision standard.
- Standard convection oven. The men convinced us that they needed fresh baked biscuits.
- Standard 17” LCD Flat Screen TV.
- New 3” insulated floor, to keep your pinkies warm in cold weather, and to reduce noise from the drivetrain and generator.
- New warmer and more vibrant earthtone colors. After all, this is your home most of the time!
- More APU options, to keep you from wasting precious fuel at idle.
These new trucks will be available beginning in November, 2006. We are producing about (50) of these ’07 model trucks with the pre-emission engines.
After these are gone, you will have to buy the ’07 compliant engines with the particulate trap emission systems.
